Lip Lift
For when the upper lip has lost projection and the smile looks duller.

Over time, the distance between the nose and the lip increases, the upper lip thins and the teeth show less when you talk and smile. Many people try to fix this with fillers, but what changed is the length of the skin. A lip lift treats exactly that.
Who it is for
-
People who feel their upper lip is long, thin or “drooping”
-
People who show little of their upper teeth at rest
-
People who have had lip fillers and were not happy with the proportions
How it is done
A narrow strip of skin is removed just below the nose, following the natural contour of the nasal base. This lifts the lip and gives it projection. The procedure is done in the office under local anesthesia and, if you prefer, conscious sedation. It takes about 1 hour.
Recovery
-
First few days: Swelling and a feeling of tightness in the lip
-
5 to 7 days: Stitches removed; back to social life with light makeup
-
2 to 3 weeks: Swelling goes down considerably
-
3 to 6 months: The scar matures and becomes more discreet
Care and risks
Like any surgery, there are risks, such as a more visible scar, asymmetry and temporary changes in sensation. That is why the procedure is only recommended after a detailed assessment, and all instructions are explained before and after.
Frequently asked questions
-
Is the scar visible? It is hidden at the base of the nose and tends to become discreet over time.
-
Can I combine it with fillers? Yes, when indicated. We assess the best timing for each step.
-
How long does it last? The skin that is removed does not come back. Natural aging continues, but the shortening is permanent.
