CO2 Laser Resurfacing
For deep lines that lighter treatments can no longer soften.

Deep wrinkles around the mouth, known as upper lip lines, and thin, crinkled skin around the eyes call for more than light sessions. CO2 laser resurfacing treats deeper layers of the skin in a single planned session, with a longer recovery and close follow-up.
Who it is for
-
People with deep wrinkles around the mouth or eyes
-
People with more advanced skin aging or deep acne scars
-
People having a lip lift or blepharoplasty who want to treat the skin in that area during the same surgery
How it is done
A high-intensity protocol, applied in a single session under local anesthesia with the option of conscious sedation. It takes 1 to 2 hours. Beforehand, the skin is prepared for a few weeks, with preventive medication according to your history.
Recovery
-
First week: Skin rebuilding, dressings and ointments, swelling; time at home
-
10 to 14 days: New skin has formed; back to social life with makeup
-
1 to 3 months: Redness gradually fades
-
6 to 12 months: New collagen keeps forming
Care and risks
Because it is more intense, it requires preparation, follow-up and strict sun protection. Temporary dark spots, lightening of areas of skin, infection and, rarely, scarring may occur. Darker skin types need a specific assessment. The best time of year is between autumn and winter.
Frequently asked questions
-
How is it different from fractional CO2 laser? Fractional laser treats the skin in tiny dots, with a recovery of a few days and more sessions. Resurfacing works more deeply, in a single session, with a longer recovery.
-
Can it be done together with surgery? Yes, in selected cases, in the same session as a lip lift or blepharoplasty.
-
How many sessions? Usually one.
If the lines on your face don't reflect how you feel, let's talk calmly about the right protocol.
